Welcome!

Hi, I'm Suyan

A blog writer, who studies physics and loves writingI share my thoughts on science, technology, and life.

Emotions, words, stories—sometimes physics, sometimes not. Welcome to my palace, which serves as a field of similes, a literary backgammon board, a battlefield for some thoughts, and a tray of Turkish delights for others.

Why This Blog?

We are meticulously putting life into the art machine

My candle is glowing

Tea time with the words now

Bushes Dance

Music plays

We philosophize

Science enters without knocking on the door

And this is how my writings are formed

A pinch of literature is taken and sprinkled over it

About

Hi, I'm Suyan

The writing frenzy that started back at Hacettepe University, in Physics Engineering, initially found its way into writing rap lyrics. Then came my dear music group MASS, my wonderful friend Elif, the brilliant professors in my department, and the books that never left my side. Somewhere along the way, I realized that the more I wrote, the more I grew — and the more I grew, the more I wrote. Then I came to Umeå. Here, my urge to write showed up like a shy clown who had finally convinced itself to step out into the crowd. These days, we’re making our own music here. I’m also playing in another band — the lovely Dropout Plan — where we play metal. I’m still studying Physics, and I’m still deeply in love with it. Art rock, French electronic musicians, ’80s music that can’t quite decide whether it’s sad or excited, and basically any song with sufficiently detailed bass riffs — consider me a loyal companion to all of them. I fish with absurdity. I have a soft spot for induction. The writing enthusiasm that started back at Hacettepe University, in Physics Engineering, used to express itself mostly through writing reports. Then, thanks to my dear music group MASS, my wonderful friend Elif Çaylı, the amazing professors in my department, and the books that never left my side, I realized that the more I wrote, the more I grew — and the more I grew, the more I wrote. Sometimes, listening to certain songs just isn’t enough, you know? You want to perform them one after another on stage, then dance on top of that, hand out the album covers like little brochures, crank up the volume in your headphones until the sound practically crawls into your ears and nearly reaches your middle ear, endlessly tweaking the bass and treble until you can’t get enough, and then, on top of all that, carefully weave every note into every instrument you can play — only to make little edits of yourself with the song at some completely ordinary moment. I’m someone who loves giraffes, adult giraffes, baby giraffes, sad giraffes, happy giraffes, borzois, zahter bread, pastel crayons, the smell of boiled pasta, taking photos, and singing. And here, I hope to drown you in my feelings, my very, very detailed thoughts, and my analogies — and then bring you back up to the surface again. Welcome to my blog.
